Another Silver Lake question(Cowlitz)

Taking the family down to Silver in 2 weeks for a little fishing getaway. Bass is obviously the
main goal but were happy catching anything. Just curious as to what might be the best lure/presentation.
I havn't fished here in over 4 years and as I recall, the water was fairly stained. Not trying to get anyone's hard earned hotspot...just some ideas as to what
to use to make are family trip a little more productive.
Thanks
Kevin

Crankbaits - shallow 5 foot and less - in Chartruse, Chartruse, Chartruse, as in Firetiger, some yellow or pink.

Stained is the wrong word, silty is more like it. Visability is only a foot or two.
What ever you use, use something that makes noise or has a spinner. Thats what we had our bites on.

Very very true ... drop something in that water and you are not going to see it again. For me most of my fish were on the brush hog. This was my good fish from Silver in August ...

Ok Silver Lake fish;
6 lb 14 oz taken on the last day of Oct. in about '91.
Black spinnerbait over the weeds in the south end of the lake out in the middle of the lake out from the pilings.
I caught another 6 - 12 in '88 on July 3rd with a 1/2 oz jig and plastic trailer in the pads on a spinning rod with 10 pound Stren. Had my Bass Tracker then, don't know where the picture is.
Good luck.

Good to know,I love my cranks.... in fact, its sad to say but I'm still just getting into plastics.
I always seem to do well with crankbaits. Its probably more dumb luck...but I'll take it:-$
Agree with Chris, nice fish Amx and BNG.

Maybe I'll get to fish the backside of the island tomorrow. Only I'll use a Redfin in Gold, just got trhu streatching the lines on all the rods I'll be taking, and putting on the Redfin. Had LOTS of good luck with it before, along with spinnerbaits and buzzbaits there. And sliding a gitzit under the docks. Now it's time for breakfast.

Were these bass, perch or a mixed bag? No biggie...just curious as to what I can get Brett over
when we aren't in the boat. Maybe a hawg from the dock too.
Don't worry Amx,everyone loves pirates!!!
