I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Just glad we're fishing from the relative safety of a boat!
Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!

Ok, I won't bash on anyone but myself... This year about 2 weeks ago, I was fishing Al Borlin park after work... Wearing my jeans, t-shirt and sneakers... I have a solid hook set and sometimes forget what I'm fishing for so I got a solid hit on a jig and SET..... Ended up not having goof grip on the bottom of my shoes and sand covered rock and went ass over tea kettle on my back, and into the drink .... Held tight to rod and didn't lose the fish but boy I sure looked like a newbie... I was just showing the other guys what not to do...

Landyards on you phones. Or inside a buttoned pocket. Or a butt pouch.

I've lost a couple phones to the river over the years. A handy trick I learned is to put your phone in ziplock freezer bag,but not if its already a little wet, guess how I figured that part out?
