Can anyone give me a good starting point to fish the skagit river from the bank?? I'm moving farther north and usually fish south so I'm not too familiar with north rivers besides Wallace... which is easy just follow the guys with weighted trebles lol

try around the mouth of the cascade and start driving around and hiking in to creek mouths and the eddies has good access but is very limited to only a few people in each spot long the bank. PM me if you want more details

The Skagit fish are aggressive especially during a good egg bite. (Tip right there). The Cascade is mostly an egg fishery, but you can get great results drifting corkies or beads. Dick nites are always my backup when it gets slow. I only fish them if there is good visibility though. Plunking is the way to go, and nickel back frog and 50/50 are my favorites.
I think the Skagit is blown right now though. The Cascade usually gets back into shape after 24 to 36 hours depending on the rain.
Good Luck!

cascade looked okay yesterday, and being a bank fishermen its one of my go to rivers, skagit is big and usually the places you can get to on the river are on the wrong side
but as far as coho and were you can plunk, throw out a spin-glo, chunk of eggs, and zing it out there should produce fish
