I wonder how many Casino dollars are spent here on advertising. Just a little insight, this paper also prints the Puyallup Nations tribal paper. They ask for letters to the editor, but I don't even know were to start.

Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish goes home through an alley.

I have now.
I don't have time but if I did I would point out on the fishing forums we were sick about the garbage and there was a clean up.
Also I read that the Puyallup tribal salmon run, I think it was last year, was the best it ever was.
If you didn't know this is a free newspaper. I have read it a couple times and realized that it has some views that are biased. So I just don't read it.

Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Lets not forget where we all live. This is Wa State.Any more questions?
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

regardless of if its biased or not, anyone else happen to agree with the article?
I was pretty discouraged this past summer from the way people treat the rivers around here. I only fished Puyallup once this past season and I'll safely say that I won't be making the short drive back down if it continues to be the way it is. Beer cans, soda cans, fishing lines, food, rusted hooks, all kinds of garbage just laying around...
Sure gillnets are harmful and we all have our complaints about tribal netting, nobodys denying that, but theres nothing we can immediately do about tribal netting or commercial fishing around the PNW. What we can do however is bring a little awareness to everyone on the conditions of our rivers so they can pick up some trash.
Read between the lines in that article and it's basically just saying to clean up after yourselves.

True people need to clean up after themself. Im Native myself, Ive never agreed with the way netting is done. The tribe itself should be able to net only 1 net 3/4 across. Not full length not multiple nets not multiple people. I have seen some videos of how the fish are treated and Im not a big fan of it. I have been brought up as an outdoors lover. Fishing, hunting, camping, etc.... If it involves wilderness Im there. Fishing to me is for sport fun and for food for my family. I dont leave my crap on the shore, in the water, on the road. I am just ranting a lil. People need to start taking responsibility for themselfs and there actions.
More fish please!

It looks to me like in the picture it is part of a net that collected tons of drift gear...
RE:Did anyone see this very Biased article?
Yeah it's true I'm sure that there's a lack of respect and alot of trash being left there but like Jake Dogfish said that sure looks like alot of gear and not trash on that tree limb. I'm guessing alot of snags from fisherman that broke their lines off.
