:nemo: I just got my first boat last summer as a 50th birthday present from my wife. What a gal, maybe she is just giving me a hint. Anyways, I love to fish for Kokanee (blueback) if you grew up in N. Idaho. But really have no idea where a few good lakes are to fish for them. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I'll pass on my N.Idaho hot spots if you ask.

FISH ON!!!!

Roosevelt has really big kokanee; Banks did as well some time ago, but I can't say if there is still a fishery for them.

There was a 4.81 pund kokanee caught in the mouth of the San Poil river last Saturday during the Two Rivers Spring Trout Derby. We only managed 3 for the day and none were over 2 pounds.

Palmer is putting them out right now, but it's 4 hours one way from Spokane. [blink]

I wish I knew the answer to this question too. With Chapman being shut down it looks like Loon Lake is about the only option and I really don't like fishing up there because its so shallow and weedy.
