I`d keep looking on craigslist. I see them from time to time. Maybe one of the guy`s know of one. Cuz if your looking at a marine shop your gonna pay for it. Granite it`s been serviced and tuned and doesn`t have any thing wrong with it.

Give a call to Ballard Marine. Ask for Dale, this is the shop that does my annual service in Seattle. A very quality person Dale is... They also sell new (and used) motors of various brands. You can just google for Ballard Marine.

What are you hoping to spend? If you let us in on that, you may have a few more eyes looking for you.

Two weeks is a long time. 95% of the people on craigslist that say there coming never show up. Maybe he would like to see if he can sell it before that.

Yeah, waiting that long makes it sound flakey. As a seller, I would at least have backup buyers. Maybe that's what he is doing.

Ultimately, first come, first serve.

I just noticed, you said you wanted a 20" shaft. That should mean a "long shaft" correct? Assuming that's how you measure it on a transom?

Like on my old alummy, the transom was 20". And it came with a "long shaft" motor.

well he said he was going to alaksa for 10 days and that he would give me a call when he gets back and that gives me time to gather a little money but i guess deals come they go. but i believe the 20 in ch shaft is a "short shaft" and the 25 is long. hooking up a 25 inch to a 20 inch transom loses power from what ive been told im still new to the whole marine motor equation
