Fish finder to get?

I used to think I didn't need GPS either. However, I bought a boat with a nice Humminbird GPS unit on it and now I don't ever want to be without it. It doesn't cost that much to bump up to a unit with gps. I have a bass pro shops flyer in front of me right now that has the Helix 5 with down imaging and no GPS for $249. It also has the Helix 5 with side imaging, down imaging and GPS for $499. Cabelas also has the helix 5 with si and di for the same $499. If you thought you might want the Helix 5 with the DI and no SI and no GPS Cabelas will price match the Bass Pro Shops price of $249. I love doing that to them. I gives me great pleasure to get them to look up the lower price online then write me one of those slips to lower their price. I have even gotten them to lower the price without even looking the item up online or calling their compettitors to ask for their price.
I would say if your budget allows you to spend $500, go for this Helix unit that has everything and you will more than likely be very happy. You may not think you need the GPS but it would be nice to have if it fits in your budget. You will use it more than you think. Catch a fish, mark a way point. When you wnat to go back to that spot. Its right there on the screen for you.
