Daiwa Viento "twitching bar"

I was just checking out the Christmas deals on tacklewarehouse.com and they have a good deal on a Daiwa Viento. Anyone use these reels or similar that have this "twitching bar" feature?

I'm just kinda curious if that extra feature is all it's cracked up to be or just another "shiny" object to try and get a sale. The only baitcasters I've used are the cabelas reels, and a shimano chronarch. Any opinions WAlakers?
Tight lines,
Ocktane

I saw that too. Decided against it.

When ever I see more extra parts, I always see more chances of it breaking.
There's probably a reason why they market it down so much.
IMO right now the best baitcaster for the money is the Shimano Curodo. Very smooth, light, casts with ease and not too outrageous in price.

Save your $
You get the same outcome using your thumb on top of the spool and flicking it back towards you.

Ya I have 2 like this in the Megaforce. I never find myself making an effort to use the thing. It's a great reel and idea, but I would rather use the rod tip to twitch. I don't know...maybe just another marketing ploy to me. Also you would have to factor in how tired your thumb would be by the end of the day...

i use my twitchin bar quite a bit when i'm fishing a bobber in the river to mend my line (i dont bass fish much) and i think it's a good idea for that. i plan on using it out for humpies off the piers next year when i'm throwing a hoochie jig at 'em.

I broke a mega force in like two trips to the bass pond. It had plastic gears that the teeth broke really fast.

I too have a megaforce. The twitching bar lasted about 3 trips to the lake. I ended up removing the gear that the bar uses.

Yeah I had already figureed my next reel would be a Curado. Thanks for all the replies! I think I'll pass on the "twitchin" bar.
