Halibut charters in WA?

Post by ckim85 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 10:40 am

A couple friends and I are dieing to do some halibut fishing! I've heard that there are many charters out there in WA but if anyone has any suggestions or some great success with certain charters, post here!

Please share your experiences as well. I've never gone Halibut fishing and I have no idea what i should be expecting.

Thanks in advance!

Better find one quick, Haibut opened in Ilwaco wed-sat I believe, and will only be open untill the quota is met. Try the Ilwaco chamber of commerce, maybe they can recomend a charter. Either that or head north to Alaska, lol

All of the big charters down there are pretty good as well as the ones in Westport.... Do some work on Google and I know you will find a charter that will get fish. Make some phone calls..Not a lot of time to write letters! Good luck to you

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

Ive been on several charters out of washington and there are a lot of great ones. If youre going to try to get out this year see if Phill on the Ultimate has any openings. This guy goes all out.

Thanks DaKanati, I was talking to my friend about it and looks like it should be very very fun. Now gotta get it planned and set!
