Same forum but updated version. No need to re-register and (God I hope) the points won't change. That would really suck if it did, but no reason to think it will.

BTW, "goal" wasn't the best choice of words. Your regular contirbutions are much appreciated!

Thanks Marc for your ponit suggestion and thanks panfisher for the mythology lesson - I like it!

OK, I've added more rankings from the above recommendations - but I'm not saying the number of posts when they will occur - gotta have some mystery, after all.

I'm gonna guess there'll be something waiting at 2000 for me. I foresee that coming before opening day in April...

Your crazy man! Watch once you get to 10,000 your computer just blows up. :clown: I can see 2,000 for you real soon. I'll get a grand here shortly too. I think a dark horse that seems to be coming up fairly quickly is Kutthroatkiller. He'll pass you later this year if he keeps up his pase. :-"

Marc,
How are you liking your Macbook?
The one thing I've yet to figure out is when I see an image and want to save it to my computer. With a pc you used to just be able to right click and save. With a macbook I've yet to figure it out...

fishnislife, your toying with 1000 yourself...That wont be long....

I'm not trying to start anything but........I thought when there was a new Admiral or other high ranking officials being commisioned into the line of duty there was a Officers Ball or party.Thrown of course by the supreme commander.Im not just talking a BYOB either.Like I said I'm not trying to start anything..........too much.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

How are you liking the Macbook? I'm on a desktop Dell Vosto 200 Slim Tower and love it, with speeds and what not, but I've always been intrigued by the macs and especially the macbook for college, does anyone highly recommend a mac over a pc?

I like it moreso then my old dell. I still keep it for when I need some stuff from my other computer that isn't on my Macbook. I got the black colored macbook, which has the most speed and memory out of any of the Macbooks...

Battery life: sweet. I can take it to class and take notes and do whatever on the internet for 2 hours and have 60% battery life still remaining.
Internet: Fast. Much lower risk of viruses.

You can literally turn the computer on and in under 30 seconds be on the internet. It's crazy fast.

Everything just works better together on a Macbook then a PC. Not sure how to really explain it, but it all flows and works so much better together and stuff....Much less of a hassle.

Takes about a week or two to get used to and figure out all the buttons and features. The one thing I dislike is the mouse. There is no right or left click...Just a right click really, but it's the only one on the mouse. I like the dashboard to display weather, calculator, time, ski reports, sports stores and I love on a mac how you dont have to minimize any windows to find another window you are looking for. You just pinch the sides of the mouse or click the F3 button and it'll zoom out and show all the windows you have open and then you can click on the one you want to be on. Tough to explain, but it's sweet.

Thanks a bunch. That's a great review, really. I think my next notebook will be a mac for surfing the net at college and I like the fast start up time - that is very important to me in buying a new notebook. You gotta have it get up and go from the start. My old Dell Dimension notebook was so SLOW out of the gate and took 1-2 minutes to boot-up (standard for a pc notebook), and the macs in general intrigue me, thanks for your input. Leans me a little more toward getting that mac.

That's what I was thinking...I figure it this way...when he hits 2,000 each member of WashingtonLakes.com will mail him a dollar, save for the other odd-200 new members, and he'll then have $2,000 to pocket in his savings account...wouldn't that be awesome?! Sam deserves the party, cake, blue ribbon, and some ballons :-"
