Aaron and I had a fun day of fishing with Craig Dowdy on the Pend Oreille river. The weather was changing every 5 minutes but we only had one short period when it really started raining. And the pike fishing was pretty good, not great, but definately enteraining and fun.
Thanks Craig!

Also it's great to hear the Pend Oreille river's name pronounced out loud. I never knew how to say it, I never would have guessed it was pronounced that way.

1) to be smoked at my next opportunity!
2) I'm embarrassed to say I don't know. Maybe Craig will see this thread and tell us.
3) When I moved to Spokane in 87 I pronounced it "Pend O Reilly" boy did that get me some funny looks.

I use to pronounce Puyallup - "plop plop". My mother was talking to her friend and had me say that to the phone so the other person could hear it. I was 25? and new to Wa. State.

Hey Craig,
Great video!!! Boy those Red Eye 5 of Diamond Wiggler Lures with the Trail Hook and Chartruese wiggler worm look awfully familiar??? Guess the Pike really like those lures, but if anyone knows it certainly is Mel...
Look forward to hearing more good things on the old school spoon, there really is nothing quite like the old 5 of Diamonds with a twist!!! Great to see the Fire Tiger color working too, that is a plus!!! Where is the wiggler worm on that one? Well good luck out there, sounds like the big ones might be a little more challenging to find this year. Hopefully that isn't the case but it starting to seem more and more likely that it is just going to take a few more years before these guys can get a real shot at growing!!! I still believe that the Pend Oreille still hasn't even hit its peak with the quality of Pike that can grow in the River. I think in 5 years you may see a whole lot more larger fish due to the forage base and opportunity for them to gain more size due to the education on the Pike that is being spread across the State of Washington, especially on your end of the Mountains. Keep the reports coming, look forward to more videos.
Nate

Ok here is the offical word, they are the Red Eyed wiggler 1oz version with half of the tails of the Jerry Lure Design walleye jig bodies on the back treble hook. We use these lures in the red and white, yellow and red, and Fire Tiger, and Trout color. Pretty much any style of spoon has been working. Thanks everyone for the kind words...Thanks again Mike and Aaron it was a great day on the river.
