I hope they have salmon and steelhead stuff. The website doesn't show much.
I typed in salmon and they had 1 fly line and jersey's for Bucks 00.

If I remember right they have some pretty high prices. But it is always nice when there is a sporting goods store in the neighborhood!

Dicks? If you think that they are going to be a cheap mega source of fishing tackle, you are sadly mistaken. Their niche is in team sports, individual sports like golf and tennis, and general outdoor gear.

That is what it looked like on their website. With a little fishing thrown in.

Great...just what we need...another Sports Authority / Big 5....now in 'Mav's' little world there would be Sportco's on every corner like Starbuck's!!

a good sporting goods store is actually hard to find. So many of them dabble in many different things, but have a strong variety in no one particular aspect of the outdoors. I've been kind of disappointed with Sportsman's Warehouse's hunting selection. Especially waterfowl. When they were the other store they were a little more on the ball i thought. (although still better than a poke in the eye)

Sportco? What's a Sportco? Hmm, must be a west side store.

Buying tackle through the mail is where I shop. Better selections and you have more time to put together an item list.
And its FUN!!!!

I saw a new Dick's Sporting Goods TV commercial tonight. It focused on running shoes...very similar to Big 5 in appearance.
After seeing the commercial I don’t think they’ll have much in the way of hunting & fishing gear.

I was in Oregon last month and I bought my license from Dick's, at the Tualitan location. I was already geared up, but decided to check out their selection. For that type of store, it had a suprisingly big, and wide selection of fishing gear. It was very G.I. Joesish.....it can't hurt to have something like that around. I'm pretty close to the old Sportsmans in Federal Way...it's got plenty of fishing gear....but Sportco is by far the cheapest!
