Two Penn Squidder Reels $60 - Withdrawn

When I first got up here I took some advice from an East coast fishing forum and picked up a couple of Penn squidder 140L reels for surf fishing up here. I find they're a little big for the surf perch and flounder I'm chasing. So I'm selling them.

The "L" stands for "Light" not Lefty. These are the models with aluminum spools. Both reels appear to be in good working order but I've never fished with them. One doesn't have a handle. My original plan was to use the two reels to assemble one excellent reel. But since both were in better condition than I expected I thought I could just put a handle on one and wind up with two squidders in good working order.

I'm offering them here for a week or so before going to the auction sites. Give me a holler if you're interested.

squiders are too large for surf :) i see squiders with handles for 25 bucks clean, but good luck with yours, auction cites should get them sold. the "L" models aare also the narrow, right?

No, the "narrow" ones are the 146 models. The "L" models had aluminum spools instead of brass or plastic which made them cast much better. And they're very popular for surf fishing on the east coast and for sturgeon fishing out here.
