i made this this weekend, it works very well with ultra lite to medium action rods. the I.D. of the pipe is 1 1/4 so if your rod handle is less then that this will work well.
i have kits from 4 to 8 rods and larger can be made. the "six pack" (shown) is a good starter. these sell at west marine for $89.00 the six pack is $40.00 plus shipping.
