Just the standard 4 year road for me...Graduate school is a serious consideration for me though.

So far, I'm a Business major, but it's undecided since I've only been in classes for 7 weeks, and can change it any time if I so choose...

That is cool, I have a daughter in graduate school now. You are in a great place because you can see what you like in the first two years. I started to be a teacher and ended up being an RN and have been for 16 years. We need new nurses if you find you like science...

Took a couple of trips lately. I'm just hanging right now. I pop in every once in awhile to see whats going on but haven't felt the urge to post much. I'm around in the shadows and have a couple things in the works for you guys but the WDFG hammered down on me for the last contest because I didn't have a permit. I don't want to get Mike and Aaron in trouble or have to pay any fines for my actions, so right now I'm just letting things cool down. Things will get rolling again and we'll do it the legit way next time. Also, my laptop is overheating and shutting down quite regulary so making a post gets frustrating when it just dies when I'm typing. So for now I'll be popping my head in here every so often to see whats happening. Soon I'll be back in full force when things get worked out.
I'm still fishing and getting out though, just not as much.

yup, got the notice as regards our little "O Tay" event was considered a fishing contest and required the proper permits and registration fee. I'm glad fishnislife is still up for trying it again, because we are willing to pay the permit fee for an occasional event - too much fun to let a little paperwork and entrance fee get in the way!

That really turns my crank!!!

What was the fine amount. Even though I didn't participate, I will be willing to chip in some to cover it. You guys were just having some good clean fun and it was not for profit. Let me know.

About the overheating, could it be the battery that is doing it? I had heard that many of the recent batteries were overheating.

Even though I like my share of name calling as much as the next guy, I would like to advize you to not be racist. Since there are fellow WL.com members that are russian. Dont want any more ppl to leave. How else will we learn there secrets to catching the fish

Getting back to the WDFG. Thats Ticks me off when bad stuff happen to good ppl. I mean, they could have laid you off with a warning. Or did they :-k. Idk, still wrong in my book.

I can't believe they have the time to look at internet forums and not hand out tickets where they need to be focusing their efforts...

Unfortunately, I can believe it...if there happened to be a fine, it was easy money.

If they wanted easy money, they could go head over to Beaver Lake and ticket some guys over there. There's no way they are better off paying guys to sift through internet forums to try and find some violation of their laws and ticket them for such an innocent contest. I can guarantee that they could get a few more tickets handed out at Beaver Lake with all the crowds out there. Surely theres going to be a lot of guys fishing there without licenses or taking over their limit...
