My son and I just finished building this FL12 stitch and glue wooden boat. It is a Bateau design and quite a bit of fun to build. We added anchor locks, lockers in the seats, and a few other items. 2.5 HP suzuki is plenty for it and have had it out in Black Lake, St Clair and Patterson (Pattison) lakes. I put together a 4x8 folding trlr and used it to travel from Tumwater to Port Townsend to pick up the marine plywood. Since picking up the wood the trlr has been used as a work bench (concrete garage floors are pretty hard on 70 yr old knees). After bldg the boat we cleaned up the trlr and extended the tongue, added rollers and side rails and bow stop and it is very easy to launch and recover. Hope this pic comes out ok. Taken at the launch at Black lake.

Very cool! Not only does it look nice, I bet you created some great memories with your son.
Hope you get a lot more bonding time out of that project. Great job.

I always wanted to build a stitch and glue project. Do you have any "in process" pics?
