I went to the website and that means they, aren't using it anymore (quit), didn't pay the website bill, are moving to a different (web or service)provider, or the domain name ran out.

I found out the domain has expired. It was with homestead and we can hope that they are working on a new website like I di. Homestead raised the prices and it wasn't a great place to have a website with.

It came up on Google for me. I'm attempting to make reservations via email right now. If I don't hear back in a couple days I will call the number given. That's how I reserved there last time.

When was the last time you cleared your cookies out? On your browser?

Funny, now I get nothing on it. I had just looked it up yesterday and bookmarked the reservation page. Now my reservation request is probably hopelessly lost on the interweb!!!!! I will have to try the phone number tomorrow. The wife really wants to go back there, it's been 3 years.

I wonder if they closed it down due to lack of interest\use.....? We have decided to go to Chelan instead in March and chase Kokes. We enjoyed the cabin when we went there a couple years ago and thought it was reasonably priced, but $50 a night to camp on the river bar with no amenities other than view seemed pretty pricey.

Last time I was in contact with them, they had no phone on site and all the reservations went through their daughter who is an attorney and has her office in Okanogan. Other than that, I can't say what they're doing. Their cattle biz is going, a few weeks ago my wife and I stopped by the house up the street (Brother, Uncle?)because we saw one of their bulls on the loose.

We have started staying in cheap hotels instead of camping out. Not as much fun for sure, but a lot less work and junk to pack up and take with you. Not much more expensive either. Plus better showers, shorter walk to the bathroom (a big deal for some of us!) and no bugs! [thumbsup]

I concur 100% and none of that sleeping on the ground.

LOL We went from sleeping on the ground to taking cheap air-mattresses to taking those huge blow up full size air-mattresses to cots with the space age foam pads, to staying in cabins with cheap mattresses and now to hotels. Even their worst bed is batter than any of those options!

Well, most of the time.... We stayed in one place in Port Angelus last year where I swear the shower was so small you literally could not turn around without knocking the door open and the shower head was below shoulder height. You literally could not get your head under the shower if you were over 5' tall. The toilet was so close to the wall in front, you had to sit sideways!

Still better than sleeping on the ground at my age :D

For those who may be interested in why Cabin by the river LLC, has been taken down from the internet, I finally was able to get hold of the Timms ranch owner, she informs me that the cabin has been permanently shut down, is no longer in buisness. BUMMER!
