Accuweather Fishing Weather

Post by cjrodarme » Tue May 19, 2015 6:42 pm

So I use the fishing weather service from accuweather. It tells you if the fishing is good or bad for the day. Are "fishing weather" services like this accurate, and what do you use to tell what the fishing will be like?

I don't use any, none are accurate. Same with the moon stuff. And atmospheric pressure stuff. I just go fishing, and fish according to the actual weather, time of year, time of day, and the area of the lake, and the lake I want to fish.

I have paid attention to the solunar calendar the past few years after having an excellent day on a certain lake and going back and hardly catching any fish on the same lake. I have seemingly had positive results, but recently it seems to be off?

A comparison;

The other day I fished certain parts of Sawyer; the 17th = 4 fish, all 1 pounders. The 18th = 5 fish, 3 in the mid 1 1/2 pounders, one 10" & one 11' er. The 18th was the new moon.

Today I fished the same parts of the lake = 10 fish. 10" and under for 8 fish. 1 at 2.07 and 1 at 2.97. Today is a little more than half the new moon, however that is called.

The 17th and 18 were both rated as the best days of the month to fish/catch fish.

Today wasn't even rated.

I fished the same docks, and such.

Fished the exact same time of day.

I used the same lures, yes the same EXACT LURES, even the very same senko, not some that looked the same by the same manufacture.

So much for some dude in Wis, or NY, or Fl, telling us when to fish in Wa. State.

Don't trust that stuff, and just go fishing.
