I was thinking about this as well this AM. I have not heard anything.
I did though purchase a belt for my waders, yesterday.
I have the belts that came with my waders, I had no idea that was what they are for. I thought they were for bait containers and pliers holster and the like. I dont go into deep water very often but I think I will start to wear them.
Terible sad about whorde.

Stryder, I don't know that anyone knows for sure on that, but I think it was a theory.
I am pretty safety conscious in many ways in boating. Many of my comrads don't wear a PFD. But my business is my business...
I have always felt at risk when in my waders, to become a heavy water logged weight in the water if I tripped in the river or fell overboard.
Just make sure you belt you have is actually designed to close the gap between waders and your hips, and not just an ornamental belt for hanging things from.

Just read his entry under dock fishing etiquette. Kinda prophetic. Unfortunately. Hope they get closure soon!

Seemed like a great guy willing to learn , if he did in fact pass away I am truely sorry for his family and friends. Although no matter if it's in the clouds above or somewhere on this green earth I'm certain he's fishing somewhere. :salut:

Body came to the surface and was recovered by Sheriff Search and Rescue Team this morning, Sunday Jan 11, 2015. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Both sorry to hear it, and relieved for the closure. Thanks Hatman, and ditto.

Just a thought but are whorde's family/friends aware he was a member of this site and posted reports and replies in threads here? In due time they might want to visit and read his words and reflect/remember. If it were my loved one i would want to know and eventually come here to read his posts.

Very good point, JD39. His reports were quite long and entertaining/pleasant to read.

Yes they know. Another member has told them and told them about this thread and has kept up with the info from them and from the search people. I don't remember his handle/name. He has posted earlier in this thread.
