Local stores for lure parts?
Local stores for lure parts?
I am looking for a few parts for making my own lures, like spoon blades, clavicles etc. are there any local stores that carry a good selection of parts? I know about lure parts.com etc but prefer local stores where I can see before buying. Thanks.

What's your general location? Outdoor Emporium carries some parts, but they didn't have everything I was looking for. I ended up ordering parts from Barlow's.
Re: Local stores for lure parts?
Thanks Bentrod. Basically I'm looking to build my own customized versions of wedding rings and vibrax, etc. Lures like these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EPyYl7RQD4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The thing with mail order is that the min units are so huge; I will never ever need 100 of these, for example: http://www.barlowstackle.com/Clevices--P826.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. When you add up a few sizes, the sheer amount of stuff just adds up.
Also I just like the convenience factor of walking in a store and checking out what they carry, as inspiration for tweaks, rather than rely on catalog photos. Barlow looks like a good source, so is Lureparts.com.

Anglers Choice on Ballinger has a table with a decent amount of things if you are in that area. It is right off I-5 (Edmonds exit) in the complex with the Thriftway.

I get my parts from ebay. various sellers for clevises, bodies, beads, wire, blades, etc. Just watch out for shipping charges and make sure you are ordering the right sizes.

Ah, Angler's Choice seems like worth a visit, thanks 4n6fisher. And thanks Shad, eBay is something I should look into as well.

Sportco in Fife has a better selection than Outdoor Emporium, plus if you're headed there you can stop at Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way - they have some parts too, but stock can be iffy.
