RE:holy mother of god!
I was fishing on the web, found this site. I lurked for a while. One day I meet Shawn at Island Lake launching the boat his Grandfather gave him. I knew about this boat from a posting he did. I joined soon after.
A bad day of fishing, is better then a good day at work !!!!!!!
RE:holy mother of god!
Nice to see more posting going on too....Was pretty slow around here for the last few months...

Cabin Fever, Sam. I am looking at my outdoor thermometer right now and it is reading 5 degree:shaking: There are a lot of people that are just plain tired of winter.
It is great just browsing through fishing reports and looking forward to nice 72 degree sunny days and landing a rod bending fish.

What I really like about this fishing site is .Its so non combative.Other sites are like fishing Blue Creek on the Cowlitz on Sat morn. Its a low pressure kinda atmosphere where everyone so far is very helpful.Theres no heavy politics going on.I feel relaxed reading and learning from the membership.
I may be older dog but I can always learn new tricks.

Yep without a doubt. People sure weren't on much during November thru about a week ago, now we are pretty busy in terms of # of new posts, # of posts on the threads and active posters..Some regulars are coming back to it too...Marc Martyn wrote:Cabin Fever, Sam.

Everything you just noted right there will change once a certain member gets on an Off Topic thread. Trust me. You'll know who it is when you see it.racfish wrote:What I really like about this fishing site is .Its so non combative.Other sites are like fishing Blue Creek on the Cowlitz on Sat morn. Its a low pressure kinda atmosphere where everyone so far is very helpful.Theres no heavy politics going on.I feel relaxed reading and learning from the membership.

But otherwise you're right, it is a very low key discussion board.

I was wondering how many of us just take a peek at the site with out logging in? I find myself doing this quite often because I don't have the time to read all the new posts and dont want to loose my place.

I am online for work - so take a number of "breaks" throughout the day (probably more than I should admit to:-$ ). I usually cruise the latest reports and comments without logging on, then if I got some time I will logon and see whats new in the forums.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I'm sure that happens quite often. 15,000+ visits in December means more than 2-3 members visiting at any one time.bigastrout wrote:I was wondering how many of us just take a peek at the site with out logging in? Wow!! You are an unruly character. We may have to call for a high level cabinet meeting and deal with this issue. I'm thinking possibly a suspension of access until around 20034.racfish wrote:Im kinda the opposite.I loggin and never log out.Is there a proper way to loggin and log outing?Do you want me to log out every time ? Then again, I may not attend the meeting. I sign in and forget to sign out often

As you can tell I'm having a slow morning waiting on bid results.Out of curiosity to all those who are grammatical geniuses.
Why does the word loggin have two "G's" in it and logout has only one?The second part of this question is.Why is there a loggin and a word logging in.Are they the same word only loggin is a shorter version of logging. The english language is so weird at times.Or pehaps its all me?

Like I said before, I put more trust in our web logs for actual numbers than I do the Forum counter.
Someday maybe this site will be popular... =d>]
Hey, do you have banners that we could put up on our respective sites to help out a bit? I guess that's one thing you guys don't have yet, and that's a page that has ways members can promote this site. :thumright
