Need a Lesson or Two

Post by racfish » Tue Jan 20, 2009 8:51 am

Id like to go fishing with someone who knows the ins and outs of River Bobber fishing with Jigs.I've done some small time Bobber in the river fishing but not enough to feel confident about what I'm doing.Im always a Corky Yarn guy who wants to learn.Maybe meet up on the Green or somewhere else.My fishing partner is gone and I need to re learn a lil bit.Thanks....

go to the snoqualmie or to to retier ponds on the sky and watch the fisherman with floats thats how i pretty much learned. but you need a long pole to do it correctly9ft for small rivers and 10 to 12ft for wide rivers.

If you have a 10 to 12 ft noodle rod, that will also work with bobbers. Just remember to keep your rod down at about 30 to 40 Degrees so you don't break the line or rod. You will want it to take the bite and be able to have it bend some without problems. Watch the people up there and you will get some ideas. Lot's of them use bobbers.

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.
