Is it just me or does the weather seem like it`s taking a back seat to spring. Seems to me every year get`s worse. My mood is also taking a back seat. That`s what the wife say`s anyway. I`m not from WA but lived here long enough to know this isn`t normal. So nice to see everyones attitude and face when it`s sunny.:) Anyone else feel this way.

Yeah this sucks. Three lame winters in a row, this one being the worst.

I love the nasty weather! This is a quite normal weather pattern for those of us who have lived here for more than 20 years. Rain can be expected any day through to the 4th of July weekend. After that it usually is dry as a bone until the second week in October. Its nice to see this kind of weather back again and I think, in the long run, it will help the native fish species recover. If we are really lucky, this weather pattern will help drive folks out of the State and curb the insanity of developing every piece of property that isn't designated a park or national forest.

Yup, one day where it got to 60º and sunny in the Spokane area. It snowed yesterday and more expected later this week. I haven't even gotten my pontoon boat out yet. When it isn't raining, it is blowing 20-30 mph. I have a feeling that suddenly it is going to turn 85º and no one will be used to the heat. No gradual transition this year.

It would have drove me away if my wife would just say ok. I don`t mind the summers and I love raising our kids here. I`m just venting because I bass fish and I get e-mails from friends that live in the south with pictures of big LMB and sun in the back ground. It would be very difficult to up and move the kids 3,000 miles away and start over. Don`t mind me I`ll be fine in 3 months.:-"

The way I see it is . Nothing we can do about it. I lived in Seattle all my life. I have 4 complete cold/rainey weather outfits I wear. I do in the rain what I do in the sun. I planted snow peas 3 weeks ago and they are 2-3" tall now. My tulips and daffs are in full bloom. Life goes on. Where it bothers me most is lake fishing where your in one place on a chair all day . But oh well. Bad weather days are a good time to do stuff around the house. Besides at the way gas prices are going I cant really afford too many road trips anyways.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Good points one and all! Seattle had been the highest consumer of prozac per capita, I don't know where it stands today. It's the cloudy drizzly days that just draaaag on. I heard on the news last night that it has rained 44 out of the last 48 days! Holy Bugger Bat Man! On the weather channel, I was drooling over the 80 degree days of the south..... In the past I've usually been able to escape to the Eastside for a bit of sunshine and warmth, a break from the wet Westside. Looking at the weather this year, the east is just slightly warmer than the west this year and colder at night and the wind picks up on the sunny days so it still feels just as cold as the west. Not much of an escape option this Spring. This happens, nothing we can change about it but it is comforting to know that some others are longing for warmer days just as much as I.

I've been here 44 years, I fish in it, doesn't mean I have to like it. LOL Keep Smiling, fake it till ya make it!

Mark

I've fished Lake WA 3 times in the last week, more to test a motor repair than catch, there were no other trailers at the Kenmore ramp, even on Sunday. It was good to get out and ride the waves, it was good that the motor is Aok. But, the fishing was so poor, I didn't even bother posting reports. LOL I'm waiting for the good news of solid bites and tight lines.
If it wasn't for the about $200 in gas I would have popped over to let's say Coffee Pot for some bigguns or Moses for the eyes! All it would have taken to go any way would have been a better weather report.

I have put in at coulon twice this week and also the only trailer.

I dont mind the rain or the cold lived here for about 23 of my 28 years, this year just seems a bit much. Begging for a 60 degree day.

Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

While I crave the sunlight, and my mood is very affected by the weather, I have come to expect that 80% of the time the skies are grey. I love a good downpour, it keeps the other guys at home, and I have more time to myself on the water. Not that I don't enjoy the company, but the solace of fishing a popular spot vacated by the off and on guys makes it worth it to me. That being said, I'd like the lakes to WARM UP! I want to get some largemouth this season before the rivers open!
