Help with home video playback on computer

Post by The Quadfather » Sat Aug 29, 2009 8:08 am

I am sort of frustrated at the moment so I am reaching out to see if anyone has any ideas.#-o #-o
I have tons of video which I have downloaded from my JVC Everio hard disc camera to the computer. I can play my recent fishing trip and other vids. all day on the computer, but I have no sound with them. Of course they were recorded with sound. If I play them back on the camera itself, the sound is there. And NO the mute button on the playback is not on.

Any ideas??

You may have to download the Doby Digital AC3 file to your computer. That's just a guess, but worth looking into.

Yep something along those lines. It's the audio encoding vid. You need what ever drivers handle it. Did it work at one point and then quit? If that's the case you can try driver rollback or the system restore to fix.
