Smoker and Rod Holders

Post by AdsBot [Google] » Sun Jan 25, 2009 5:48 pm

I just purchased a new bradley smoker and rod holders at the sportmen's show. I now have a used "little Chief" with an extra chip pan and a bag of alder fuel. The smoker has served me well over the years and is in good shape. I also have six "fish on" rod holders with side mounts for sale. Anyone interested in any or all please drop me a PM.

Oh ya! I love my Bradley! I now have smoked fish and chicken in that darn thing and all have come out tasting great. I used the “Chief” deluxe brine recipe on my fish and everyone who tried it, loved it. I think my next cooking mission will be some pork ribs or maybe, make some jerky,

By design the Bradley will eject a burning bisquette about every twenty minutes allowing for a clean burning smoke. Bradley claims the smoke is 4 times cleaner than most commercial fuels and smokers. You can sure taste the difference immediately. The smoke flavor is mellow compared to that from a smoker like the “Little Chief”. What is really great is the ability to control the temperature during the whole smoke/drying process. While smoking two whole chickens I was able to hold the temperature at a steady 220°. I could never do that with the “Chief”. I highly recommend it. After some thought I decided to go with the original model and not the digital.

Oh, by the way. It will do a great job on those big trips you catch at Rufus. That thick fat layer between the skin and meat will make for some great eating.

Thanks Stampie, Temp control was my biggest concern.
