NFL 2007

Post by raffensg64 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 1:58 pm

Who's your team and how are they gonna do this year? I know that we're not all Seahawk fans so let's ignite the great football debate!

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and am a dedicated Steeler fan. My vehicles all have Steelers stickers and despite the controversy of SB XL, they haven't yet been vandalized!

The Steelers will regain control of the AFC North this year with an 11-5 record, a division they've owned for years despite those upstart Bengals and uppity Ravens. The Browns just don't factor in. The defense will be solid as usual, but unfortunately for Steeler Nation, an unstable offensive line and new coaching staff will let them down in the playoffs, where they will lose in the first round, ESPECIALLY if it's a home game.

In the end, the AFC wins another Super Bowl.

Seahawks all the way. Even though I feel that SF and st .louis are on the rise and we are on the fall, so I dont know if we will be #1 in the NFC West this year. Also Steven Jackson and Frank Gore are unstoppable and Alexander runs like a girl and is on the wrong side of 30.

But my favorite team other than Seattle is the COLTS. And no I am not a wagon jumper, but I do get that a lot now. They were my favorite ever since they could have drafted the all mighty RB Ricky Williams, but skipped him and took Edgerin James this was back in 99 and Manning was only a Sophomore in the leauge. Now Ricky Williams cant even play in the NFL because he got busted w/ pot WAY too many times. The colts traded James the year before they won the super bowl. Now he plays for Arizona and isnt putting up half the numbers he was. James is still my favorite player in the NFL and the colts are still my favorite team.

I am the commissioner of 3 fantasy football leagues and 1 of the drafts is tomorrow. I cant wait. Unfortunately I cant afford snacks for everyone tomorrow, so it looks like I will have baked trout, smoked salmon, fried crappie and BBQ salmon, hopefully they wont mind

C O L T S!!! COLTS COLTS COLTS! My die hard team. No matter what, I stand by them. We got an easy superbowl last year. Hopefully this year will be a different story and the superbowl will be more fun to watch. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time watching my colts walk over the bears, but I'd like to see more of a challenge there. Maybe colts/hawks? That'd just be to sweet for this guy.

The Cowboys are looking pretty good in pre-season.

I feel better with the new rule in the NFL that the opposing team ball-boy can not handle the ball before a kick.

The Cowboys have FIVE Superbowl wins...I think it is going to be six!

I root for two teams every Sunday during the fall. The Cowboys and whoever is playing against the San Fransissy Fourty-whiners.

LOL, thats great. My room loves the 49ers and his name is Joe, so his favorite player is Montana, so its always Montana this and Montana that and he gets really offended when you talk about the the 49ers. I cant wait to use that one LOL

I love the Kansas City Chiefs. Remember Super Bowl IV:cheers: We will win 10 or 11 games and choke in the playoffs once again. That's reality. I sure miss Derrick Thomas!

I'll second that the only game that's on the wire for the HAWKS is New Orleans. On my way to watch the Hawksbeat up on the Vikings:cheers:

Shawn has a good point...according to the "2007 NFL Strength of Schedule", which is determined by calculating your opponents prior season wins/losses, Seattle has the ninth easiest schedule in the league. Makes sense considering they're a part of the NFC West!

Hawks fan had better keep an eye on Arizona. Half of Pittsburgh's staff went down there with Ken Whisenhunt when he was overlooked for the head coach job for the Steelers. There's a new coach and a new attitude in Phoenix, I'm sure of it! They've got the personnel to be a playoff team in a couple years.

I think the steeler's are going to go into a state of eternal "rebuilding"..... They lost cower and the ref who won them their most recent superbowl has been fired..... I mean, let's face it .... the game was fixed...

A fitting end to a team that has always been more hype than substance......

but I'm getting a little burned out on the "hacks".... too much mike holmgren and I'm not a big Paul Allen fan... I mean, all those billions and he can't even afford to hire a dentist to polish his teeth.... Lot's of money but no class......

I think I'll be rooting for the New Orleans Saints this year... watched one of their preseason games this year and they just seem to have a lot of spunk..... Of course, if Reggy Bush is indicted for animal cruelty any time during the season all bets are off.... in that case I'll probably switch to hockey where the Buffalo Sabres have always been my team....

Ya, but they say that about Arizona every year. You would have thought with the pieces of the puzzle they put together last year that they would have done something.

GAME OVER!
HAWKS take down the vikings. It's starting to look a little better. Would have liked to see touchdowns in the first half instead of field goals, but Josh Brown is the man and it is cool to see him at work. I like Weaver as well. I think he could be taking Alexanders place soon.

Seahawks, born and raised in seattle so Ima stick with the local team. I can't decide how well I think they will do...I bet they are either really good and make it to the superbowl or they are like the Carolina of last year...

I was at the game yesterday my first game in the new stadium.Talk about sensory overload,it was like I died and when St.Peter opened those pearly and granted me access to Seahawk heaven.Weaver was hot yesterday Alexander was so/so,not like when he had Hutchison throwing blocks for him.I cant wait to go watch the Hawks and the Raiders on Thursday.I'll pay more attention to the game on the field, instead of gawking at the stadium that Paul Allen built .

My New England Patriots will be even stronger this year. Look out NFL. I've been a Patriots fan since the mid 80's so hopefully that doesn't make me a bandwagon jumper.

Some one jumped on the band wagon LOL. No just messing around. Its great to watch your team win a super bowl but then getting teased for jumping on the band wagon kind of sucks. It wouldnt surprise me to see them in the super bowl again. As long as Brady is still throwing they will always have a chance. Not to mention Maroney, he is a hog, and they really stepped up their receiving core. So we might see my colts and your pats again in the championship, or lets hope.

New England sure got a lot of players to work for minimum wage this past off-season just for the opportunity of getting a Super Bowl ring, so I would not count them out. They are driven by something bigger than $$$.
