I have a classic 77' Ranger, I need to upgrade my electronics on it for the tournaments this year, I'm a california guy so there are only a few lakes you need electronics for. I'm looking at the Lowrance Mark 5 unit, does anybody have one or one like it? If I could afford it I'd get the HDS units, I just need something with down scan or a skimmer transduecer. Thanks tight lines!
heres my beaut.

That'd be the one, I was looking on Tacklewarehouse, they dont have the package like that site though, I'm trying to budget as well as possible but so far that's one of the few I'm narrowed down to.

Thanks. Good lookin boat. My first boat was a 16' Chrysler Bass Runner. A little narrower than that.

Great price.

If I had the money I'd go back to Calif to do some more fishing. Haven't been there since Christmas of '89. Had to cut the trip short 3 days so I didn't get hung up on the storm headed for the Siskus. Still had about a foot of fresh snow over the pass.

She's a Beaut. I like all the older bass boats, I put alot of Time and money into my boat. I stayed up all night waxing it when I got it, not a scratch in sight!

Yup, take good care of them and they'll last a lifetime. That one was a '72 with a '74 motor. Then I sold it to my brother in '88 and he wore it out and dismantled it. My second boat was an '87 Bass Tracker. In March of '89 I bought my '88 Ranger 360V from a local professional fisherman. He is sponsered by Ranger. I still have the Ranger.

I thought about getting a new boat in '02 when the Mariner went bad, but I like the 360 a lot, so bought a new Mercury Optimax 175.
