All right Marc, you and me on Newman in June. I've got the flies that can do it. Lets make it happen!

I bought a new Redington fly rod just for the occasion. Never fished Newman and I'm looking forward to it! I'll bring my cameras (still/video) to prove it can be done!

That would be great to have video and stills. Was that your video from our Silver Lake Tournament? I've not fished Newman in 20 years but know the lake holds some nice Tigers. I grew up on Coeurd'Alene Lake and visited Newman many times to flyfish for rainbows. One of the 8wt rods I use for Musky and Pike is a Redington. Its a medium action 9' two piece. I use my Ross Reel G4 and switch back and forth between full sink and a floating line with a shooting head. Here are a few flies that the Tigers chase on Mayfield Lake and the Pike on the Pend Oreille just love em.

That looks like fun. Once I get a motor for my boat I'm gonna give some of those musky lakes a try.

Yes it is. I was teamed up with Don Wittenberger. Didn't get a hit, but had a fun day.[thumbup]

O.k., the DVD arrived in the mail this morning and I just spend 1hr. and 49 minutes watching it. All I can say in two words is BUY IT![thumbsup]

This is one of the finest produced videos I have ever seen. Robert Thompson is a master at blending all the aspects of this sport into a cleverly flowing video. His editing is superb, inserting little bits of "wow, that's cool" unexpectedly into the film. His finished product is, without a doubt, 5 Star.

The guys in the "Musky Tribe" are passionate about their sport. They also make it clear, that you have to have the patience to hunt these magnificent fish. Fly fishing for Muskies is not like casting a #16 Adams on a high mountain lake when a great Mayfly hatch is on. You have to have the dedication to fling large flies endlessly for hours on end without results. But, when it happens, it happens big.

The main portion of the DVD is video of action on the water, discussions of the sport and why it is so addicting. Robert also includes sections on fly tying, fly patterns, bass and northerns on the fly and also a 19 min. clip on a two day float.

Robert Thompson's attention to customer service is excellent. He keeps in constant contact with you as to the status of the order.

I'm getting in on this action, period!
