Purchased: 12' Lowe Line aluminum boat
So I sold my inflatable pontoon boat yesterday and today I went and bought this lovely lass. She has some character but I think she will make a fine fishing boat. The only defects are the V in the front has a dent (see photo) and one of the back handles was broke off leaving two small holes where the rivets were. I gooped some black silicone adhesive sealant into the holes and around the outside nice and neat...hoping that is all it needs. I have a swimming pool I can put it in to test for leaks
Im not sure if I want to bang the dent out and have it welded or not. Im pretty sure the way it is creased that if I was to band it out that it would cause a separation. I think I will get a trailer as I dont like how it hauls on top of the rig. I dont have front tow hooks (never checked until today) but the seller was nice to quickly make me some nice wood brackets that it is resting on in the photo. He put stops on the top to keep the boat from sliding off and stops on the bottoms to catch on the racks. He also helped me tie her down. lol
All said and done, I am only out $20. So now just have to save up for a trailer, some oars, and a trolling motor. Gonna also fabricate a dolly system like my dad has to make it easier to move around.
My friends think I should name her Dingy lol.....
