LK CHELAN, help, need some info

Post by stryker17 » Thu Jun 14, 2012 6:11 am

Will be fishing the lake for the first time, going to try for some Kokanee, my brother is coming up from Oregon and we want to hit Chelan . Question is where to launch I have a 32ft motorhome and 17 ft boat,. The only place I know of is the city park or 25 mile park Is there any other place that I can launch and spend a few nights? Don't mind dry camping if thats available . Also where to fish I am not familiar with the lake, and the only area I have read about is across from the blue roof conds, ??
Dont know if this is the best place to post but hope some one will see this and give me some info thanks

Here's a good report from Dave: http://www.fishingmagician.com/Reports/ ... ay-13.aspx
Take a look through his web site while your there. There's lots of good Chelan info...

My favorite palce is the city park. Walking distance to town and a store. You can also rent a slip from Campbells or the guys on the other side of the launch. Have fun!

A couple more tips... In Chelan, I have done really well using the Berkley Power Maggots. I used to use white shoe peg corn and keep plain and scented, but have switched over and now use pink or natural the most. They stay on better than corn and the kokes seem to like it.

Chelan is really clear, so re-tie your rigs on 6 pound flouro if you can. I also run the gear 10-20 feet up the downrigger cables so the balls are down below the kokes, unless I am working close to the bottom.

When are you going??? We will be there the end of the month...

Good luck!
