Stolen :-(

Post by ResQ » Wed Oct 23, 2013 10:51 am

We have a family cabin on Totten inlet and also have/had a 10 foot livingston with a newer honda 9.9hp motor. Some douche bags stole it this last week. Boat, motor and trailer. Just thought I would share! ](*,)

Yea. My cousin purchased the boat and was his (as is the cabin) but it is a family vacation house for everyone. He filed a report and all that, but still. I am recommending some game cameras hidden allover and more locks ect... I have had my eye on craigslist. But if anyone see's an older livingston, 10 ft, center console with black steering wheel and a silver honda motor (non tiller) let me know! It has to be someone local as their place is pretty deep out there.

Meth fiends. It's been to the fence's place and gone to the east coast. 3-400 bucks for the crackers.
Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!

make sure you get the game cameras with black out technology. They use infrared flashes that humans cant see. They work GREAT! They also take amazingly clear and detailed pictures or video at night.

Well, yes, your little Livingston may be in Sri Lanka right now, and being outfitted for a deep sea fishing trip.....
But then again.... about 2 years ago, A guy on this forum had the same thing happen. Everybody said, "Find your boat in Mozambique" I told him to wait... wait... wait for the beep, and then post an add on Craig'slist asking for a similar type of setup.
So he did.... and low and behold, the PERPS called him and tried to sell it back to him. Cops got involved, and he got his boat back. And of course I made a new fishing friend, and got some invites out.
Of course it's a long shot, but just sayin'. [drool]

This is one of the reasons I hesitate to buy stuff on Craigslist. I'm betting it's 50/50 that it's stolen most of the time.

same here, on stuff that is easily stolen, i ask for a photo for proof you have had the item for awhile and actualy used it. it hasent just been sitting in the garage unused for 2 years and just a little "dusty".

i got my shotgun stolen by what had to be a neighbor (my ipod and glasses were still on the front seat.) just the buried gun from the middle of my truck was gone. i still to this day watch CL for postings to see if it pops up.
Yes i am 6'8", NO i didn't play basketball in school
