Collectable / Vintage tackle

Post by chongo469 » Wed Jun 25, 2014 4:59 pm

So how do you find out what is collectable or not?... I have a bunch of Rod / Reels and Tackle that is taking up room in my garage.... I have a sweet St Croix fishing rod... Aluminum ferrules and cork upper with wood lower but with the older metal guides in great shape..... Who would I talk to to get stuff like that appraised? Also have a few older Penn reels, Ocean city , and a bunch of Okies and Sammy Specials....

Start with EBay. Make sure to look at the winning bids and condition and descriptions closely.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
