I came across these images a while back and thought it would be good to share them with those of you who are interested in learning more (via pictures) about the through-wire construction of plugs.
I wish to credit Rapala for the genius of their design. They happen to be my favorite company for hardbaits.
Floating Rapala 9
Husky Jerk
Count Down 9
Shad Rap 7
Rattlin Rap
The rest is up to you!

I use the Rapala Jointed Rainbow Trout 4" minnow for my cutthroat many times. It's an amazing lure...they can't resist with a little smelly jelly on the thing...
That is cool. It's neat to actually see it like that without having to tear a bait apart. And yes, I have cut, torn, broke, many lures apart just to see how they are designed. Rapala has an ingenious system. Thanks for sharing the guts of those Rapalas islandbass.
islandbass great stuff man. I always wanted to see the inside of a Rapala. I mostly use Rapalas, fire crawdad jointed shad raps and F9 silver original floaters are my favorite ones to use.
