It's 10.3' and for some reason it's $299.99 at Cabelas...am I missing something...? Looks like a gorgeous raft,EastsideRedneck wrote:I just bought an Intex Mariner 4 for $200 at Cabela's Grand Opening and the motor mount online for $30.

If the money is there, the Intex Mariner looks like a better ride...Much more durable then the Fish Hunter...

RE:Sevylor Fish Hunter
So here's my report...
The Mariner 4 is definitely money well spent. The inflatable keel allows it to track well despite the EXTREMELY shallow draft of .5" (outer tubes, not the keel). This also makes my little 17# thrust Minn-Kota seem like an 75#'er. I had debated upgrading to an Endura 55 before today, but mine is more than sufficient to make decent time across a lake. In terms of toughness and durability this thing can take a beating. I dragged it across the Beaver Lake boat launch (sharp-edged quarry gravel and dirt mix) with no scraping or scratches. The stability of this craft is impeccable. Even though I had an Optima blue top battery, trolling motor, and myself all within the back two feet with my tackle and boat bags in the bow, I could move around freely without any feeling of instability. You could easily stand while fishing or lean way over the edge without fear of going in the drink. The setup takes about 10-15 minutes with the included dual action pump and even less to take down. Air tighness/integrity, is amazing. I have had this thing inflated in the yard for three weeks and it was still "hard" for lack of a better description. Only time will tell, but I would venture to say that the Intex Mariner 4 will outlast the Sevylor with much less maintenance.
If you get one, toss the inflatable "seats", get a boat seat w/ a swivel and a "spider" leg base. The hard floor will easily support it and it makes it much more comfortable and easier to fish from. I love mine, especially with the cupholder attachment. Another thing to consider is buying a different storage bag(s). The one that it comes with is pretty thin. I would recommend two bags; one for the floor, oars, and pump, and the other for the boat itself. I don't know about you, but I would rather split up the ~100lbs than lug it around in a single bag.

Way too pricey. Used Jon boats are the way to go if you were going this route...

Kuttkiller,
Check out the thread somewhere on the forum, that is pictures of peoples boats. You will find JT26, he is 14 y/o. and has a pretty sweet little Sevlor setup (I think) He has the electric motor mount, etc. There are good photos, and he could tell you how it works. Just look for JT26
