Lost Fishing Report on Rufus Woods Lk?

Post by Fish On! » Sat Apr 05, 2008 11:17 pm

I sent in a fishing report and picture from Rufus Woods Lake and don't see it posted yet. It was sent I believe on March 31, or April 1. I know I had trouble getting into the browser section to upload a picture and it finally went through. Any idea where it went?

Also, is there anyway to expand the fishing reports to go back say a month? Maybe I'm missing a button or section, but only 60 reports this time of year takes it back less than a week.

Click on Reports at the top of the page, select freshwater reports. The lake index will come up. In the search box, type in the lake you want reports on. From the list displayed, click on Reports of the lakes you want. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see page numbers. Click on the page numbers going back to the first reports.

Yes, that's the report. When I went to the lake index the most recent report from Rufus showed March 5. Guess you found some in the backroom or the lake index wasn't bringing up the most recent posts. Also, is there a way to expand the reports page? 60 reports right now only takes me back 4 days!......Thanks

BTW, your report was there all along.. the stats on the index page had not ben updated. We seem to have a script that is malfunctioning. Had you clicked on the reports link and looked at the Rufus reports you would have seen it there at the top.

Come Opening Day 60 reports may only take you back two days. That's not a bad thing!

More reports mean more opportunities to explore. And if you have a favorte lake just go to the Lake Index and check it. With the Premium Membership you'll also be able to set up alerts for specific lake reports so you'll never miss a report on your favorite lake. :thumright

I've altered that page to show all reports from the last 7 days, however many that may be.

Thanks for the update and attention. I'd like to see it go back 30 days at least that way I can look back and scan how the lakes are doing. Be nice to have all the reports on one or two pages rather than 20 per page and multiple pages to wade through. When I go to a website it gets old fast if I have to keep clicking deep into the website to find what I want. I'll often see a lake that I've never fished and go on what's been reported. Also the spring stocking is another interest. I'd like to know what's going on and the reports of all lakes give a good idea.

I think the reports section is the most important part and it seems to have taken a backseat to other features. IMHO. Mike, it's good that 60 reports may come in in 2 days, but if I have to monkey around to find those reports I'll tune out in a hurry. I don't always know how to spell a lake and when I pull up the lake index the most recent reports aren't always there.

I know this is minor bitching, but being on dial up this site with all the ads and "stuff" coming up just isn't as dial up friendly anymore. Slow slow slow for me most of the time. I saw somewhere that a new format was being done, so maybe it will help. Thanks for letting me vent.

OK, thanks fr the input. The new site will have eyt anoither variation on the report page. I'm sure some will like it and some won't. We'll take your comments as construction feedback.

As to the stocking reports, we have the front page link to WDFW stockign reports and I don't plan on doing more than that. JUst way to much work to break those up and enter into each lake on this site.
