SLOOOOWWW

No, not the fishing. The forum here seems to be real slow compared to how it used to. All the other internet sites are still running fine and fast, but usually around here, navigating is a little slower. Anyone else having similar issues? Mods?

I'll be upgrading the forum to a newer version within the next week (cross fingers). The new version runs much faster.

I have experienced the slowing too. Looking forward to the NEW upgrade and super speed.

I have also got this message three times tonight and a couple of times yesterday. Happens when I make a post or reply to one. Are you playing with stuff Aaron?

Hmmmm.... it seems one of our pages has Gone Fishin' and hasn't returned.

*Note: The fact that this page is missing is most likely cause by our site transition, however,
we would love it if you would report this error! Click here to let us know what page you
were trying to access when this error screen appeared.

I wish. It seems that the forum is slowly degrading... which is one of the reasons i will be upgrading it. If you get an error message like that just ignore it as best you can. the new site will be much more stable... ](*,)

It's on and off fast for me. Now it's fast. I usually have real good internet but occasionally when a lot of people in the building are using the internet, it can slow things down.

I have noticed that also. Sometimes after I click "post" on the forum, it will just sit there acting like it is loading, when in fact, it has already loaded the post. I know this by clicking on the subject above the "post a reply" window and it will then show the post I just made.

I'm on Comcast High Speed Internet.

Thanks. I'm working on it. the response from the server seems fast enough, it's the SQL server that appears to be holding things up. Pages with little to no data on them are fast. Pages that need to get a lot of data from the SQL get held up. I'll be moving the site to a new as soon as I can.. possibly this weekend. It will give us a good idea of what we can expect for speed when i put the new site up.

I've been tweaking the new site and believe I've reduced the overall page size of the graphics, menus, and other items that get sent to the browser by about 300%. Dial-up users will notice a HUGE increase in speed.

Do people still have that? Is that for the Commodore 64 crowd?
