Depending on how current your sonar is,get the Navionics Hotspots Premium 2008 West Coast Edition. Its has something like 11,000 bodies of water on it.You can go to their web site to see if the water you want is on that chip or not.

Firetiger,

Be careful on that Navionics Hot Maps chip. My buddy got one last year for Banks Lake and it was literally 100 yards off on everything. Supposedly they had a fix for that chip but I am not sure if they ever released it. Do some more research. Last year my friend called the company and they said they knew about the glitch and were going to send patches. They never did and he ended up getting his money back. Im sure there are plenty good chips around now but last year the one Navionics did was pretty much useless, at least on Banks.

Joe
I have never met a fish yet that respected a big purchase. You can own a $100 boat or you can own a $30,000 boat. You might be more comfortable, but don't expect any fish to care about your investment.

You have confirmed why I did not buy my latest depth finder with that package installed. I see no reason to spend that kind of money for something that is no better than the base map they install.

PS, I'm sure the Navionics is a hot package back east, or even off the Coast, but we are not their main concern here in WA.
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
