Nice lookin' sled you got there! Hand built - even better! I cant quite tell from the angle, is that a center console or side?

I like the name and the paint too. How did you do the scripting on the name? Looks perfect.

Hah thanks for the post chad, I forgot some forums don't have it in each post.

Cupholders.... last I checked you have two on the ends of your arms. If you are setting it down, isnt that abandonment?

She has two consoles, one for the helm and one for the tackle box/glove box (it has 3 plano boxes built in).

That is an amazing boat.
I like the layout inside of it too.

Before you got it licensed did you have to have someone test the capacities and put that yellow sticker inside of it?

USCG only requires that if I sell it commercially. All I had to do to get it licensed through the state is prove that I paid taxes on what I purchased, and pay taxes on whatever I got from out of state. Crap, I think, but hey, no choice right?

Anyone on the eastside better keep their eyes peeled (and occasionally in the San Juans as well), because this boat will be out often!

nice piece of art work Gisteppo...

i personally have minimal knowledge of boat building, but one of my friends spent 7 years of his young adult life building a fabulous craft (it was a mini cuddy maybe like your lil tug??))...he was guided by his father and although he was reluctant many of those years...now he says it was one of the most influential experiences in his life....tons of dedication and perfection....

wood hull i'm assuming....

I have had many people tell me about their childhood boat building experiences, and I think its a crying shame that more guys don't get involved nowadays. Building a boat is a great experience, and you don't have to build one as big and as complex as this one to get the enjoyment and memories.

Shes a cored composite hull. Essentially the core is marine okoume with fiberglass laminates on both sides, which forms an I beam. The layers of glass give compressive, tension, and abrasive protection to the boat, while the core gives impact resistance, insulation, and sound damping. Im more than happy to take people out for a spin, as a wood cored boat has traits that no metal or fiberglass one could ever dream of.

Thanks for the kind words.
