Some free tackle stuff
This time of year I spend a lot of time in the garage going through stuff and trying to be more organized with my tackle.
I'm putting together an extra tackle box I have with a bunch of stuff that I either never use, or just plain have too much of.
This includes leader spools, mostly 6lb test, some 20 lb test, maybe an 8lb, some garlic marshmellows, some powerpait unopened. A ton of bait hooks, I"m not a size knowing guy, so I'll just say that they accomodate worms and powerbait nicely. I've got some rubber jig head looking things that I think I bought for crappie, but I've never even seen a crappie.
A fish stringer. swivels, a fair amount of bannana weights in various sizes up to maybe 4 oz. I can probably find some salt water stuff to throw in.
If you live hopefully on the Westside of the state, I'd be happy to send it to somebody who could maybe use it. If you think that you are able to cover postage that is cool,,, but if it is a problem don't worry about it. postage won't be more than 5 bucks.
I think that this is a good time of year to go through your stuff, and maybe others out there have a bunch of stuff that you seriously never use, and it just clogs up your tackle boxes. (pass it on to someone)
PM me if you want it.
Give me a minute my pictures are downloading and I"ll post a few. There will be more in the tackle box than what shows in the pics.

Great offers BB ands QuadF...
That's what homegrown fishin is all about...helping each other.
I'd take the banana sinkers QF, but I'm not in seattle!! Way to help out....
ALSO....I still have a FREE kiddie pole with fresh hook, line, and sinker for anyone in Whatcom/Skagit area. Brand new. just would love to see it in some young persons hands!!!
(Don't need a license under 15....let your kid catch you dinner!!:chef: )

This is a Great Idea! I've also been out in the shop going over my gear!
I have a couple of poles & reels that would be good for someone to get started!
I live in the Portland- Vancouver area. Send a PM if you could use them!

RE:Some free tackle stuff
i go thru my stuff every year and put together a couple of outfits that that a young person can and would actually use. so when i see someone without a pole or sharing a rod i'll go get the stuff i have and give it to them. or at times they'll see my stringer of fish and ask the questions of how and what and i'll give them the extra's i usually have and show them how and why i got the fish on my stringer. lots of enjoyment all around.:thumleft:

I have always given away poles, reels and gear to the kids I meet at the docks. Nothing better than seeing a youngster with a big smile and a new rod and reel catching his first fish. You guys are great. Hope you find a good recipient for your generosity. Have a great holiday season, Steve
Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.
