Here's a few pictures of new FCS designs that we've got for this season.

A propeller model, a smaller Armadillo, and a heavier AngleIron Inline. More colors are shown in the shopping cart, but this gives you an idea of what we're up to. I cant wait to see one of those monster hybrids I'm seeing pictures of all over the site with an FCS spinner in its lip!

The propellers spin great at very slow retrieve and even vertically if you want to jig them with some bait.

This small Armadillo is going to do well, competing with the Nitromite in the lighter weights.

The AngleIron Inline is the heaviest spinner rounding out our models this year, although some guys in New Mexico are asking for bigger spinners for their trout. I'll probably work something in later this year, always full of ideas!

I'm very interested in trying these spinners in the fall on our river coho, which can be notoriously lock-jawed in the rivers. Of course, I'll be testing them before that on the lakes.

I recently posted that I often make my own lures, just so the fish see something different. These will do just what I want to do, and the flat disk should add a totally different turbulence pattern in the water.

Got me thinking here. I see an order coming on soon.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and interest in FCS. You're right about the bigger fish being tired of watching the same old spinner models day after day. "The fish are getting smarter!" cause we catch and release them and I give them credit to figure stuff out after a few surprised visits to the surface.

The discs 'are' unique. The blade rides over them, wobbles them and after you've used it for awhile, they eventually wears trails on the blade's underside. With the ridged Indiana's, if you roll the blade over the discs in your hand, the noise has a strobe to it. Thats noise and vibration under the water and that attracts strikes. You called it turbulence, and its noise too. The other interesting effect on the faceted glass models, is that the discs act as mini disc brakes on the glass beads and cause them to roll, catching light and reflecting up a storm on the underside of the blade and around the spinner, another strobe. Kind of a stack of wedding rings on steroids.

I agree with you, different is good and thats one of the reasons I started twisting wires myself. Biggest reason was my teenage sons and their friends kept me buying $50 of spinners every time I went camping (and we camped a lot)! Then I got into the creativity side of it and before I knew it, I didn't have a empty tacklebox anymore. As a matter of fact, I needed to sell them in order to continue to feed my new habit and buy more components!

We have been in business about 10 years and sold 10's of thousands of our spinners in the West. We're expanding our presence into new waters around the country cast by cast, because anglers appreciate them and the spinners do the job.

We 'are' proud of the Armadillo model. You can't pick one up in your favorite Bait and Tackle shop yet, but we willl send these Armadillo's to your house! A spinner surprise in your mailbox beats junk mail!

In any case, try some FCS, get them wet, and tell your buddies about us!

Here's a new large Armadillo spinner, its a beauty (if I say so myself) 6/10oz - double Super Willows - Transparent Power coated Nickle body beads with 10mm discs, with rabbit Zonker tied on a 1/0 brass treble. Its about 4.5 inches in length, should catch Muskies, Northerns, 'big Rainbows' and other interested fine Fish! Think it would work on Salmon? I'll sell them for around $6.00, the picture is kind of a prototype and not complete.

I like this, but to be honest, I would have thought the double spinner would be tough to start turning. Let me know how the prototype works.

Oh, and by the way, If I request a couple of "customs", your style with a little more weight, is it possible to get them from you?:-$

I've made that double Super willow spinner before and sold a bunch, just not at the heavier 6/10oz. I dont know how much heavier then 6/10oz I could make.

Over the years, I've made several models doubling up the blades on the same clevis and they spin fine and attract fish. Just another 'difference' when they collide and play catch up during rotation which behaves erratically in the water and fish take notice. For the Super Willows, the bigger bottom blade is doing the work with the smaller blade tagging along. The super willow does catch a lot of water and you know they are out there working.

This model with a willow over a swing catches less water and is faster deeper. It works great in crystal clear beaver ponds. Trout see them and chase after them. I really like the swing blades, but dont see them used much.



As far as doing custom work, If you had already bought a few dozen spinners and were a repeat customer, its more then probable I would try to accomodate a request or two! Those 6/10oz spinners were a special request.

If I've got the components on hand its worth a discussion, but custom is usually a pain since there are so many component choices, colors and blade styles; I could have 3000 9/16 Nickel beads on hand but someone could want 1/4 brass, etc. I've made a lot of false starts over the years, so do have a bunch of ragged edge components stored that have fallen off the beaten path, but continue to take space occasionally get some use. I just dont want to have to buy small quantities for a custom order paying more and then not have another use for them.

I would never ask you to buy something to build a custom lure for me, I'd just mix and match from what you already use and show on your web site.

These FISH CREEK SPINNERS rule!!!! My friend & I caught a piar of 4-1/2 pound trout in a lake in Mason county on Sunday! I've never dreamed there was fish this big in Western Washington but the FCS128 Red/Orange Armadillo from the great folks at Fish Creek Spinners hooked us up with 2 of these bad boys on the same rod less than 5 minutes apart! Hey Fish Creek what are your hot lures for Wyoming I am in Laramie. Also what is your favorite body of water around you??

First, those were some impressive Washington Lake Rainbows! They make most of my fish look like Bait.

For WY - Any of the Armadillos (black and silver)(blue and silver)(Red and Orange either silver or gold). Anglers fish them with luck for Walleyes in Gray Rocks (get a lot of good feedback). If your bank fishing the Mile, I would try the 1/5oz version because it will cast better and farther in that WY wind and run deeper in current then the lighter Armadillos. In that 1/5oz model the Browns like the Gold and Blue.

In CO, I tend to hit the High Country vs Front Range. Leadville Four Bay (little early tho), Wolford Reservoir by Kremling, Yampa River by Steamboat, Zirkel Wilderness for Cutthroats, Delaney Buttes (just down the road from Laramie. I guess my favorites are Four Bay in Leadville for Macks and Beaver ponds in Zirkel for Cutthroat. In ponds and streams the HotRod is great.

Pitch all the treble hooks and go single Colored hooks to match the body and
trailers to Match the hatch:-$ .

For years folks thought treble hooks were great the facts are they have far less penetration power into the hook set making twisting very easy on fish and I use them Never:-$ for so many years only on super Big Kwickfish and mag/wiggle warts for balance only:cyclopsan

Like many of the shown models and goodies, blades, material trailers looks great but a single colored hook in the correct colors will out fish any silver, chrome and treble hook 24-7:chef:

Nothing wrong with Blue Fox, I always fished the brand and one of my favorites. Didn't have the colored hooks then though.

I can see your point in matching the body color, they look edible. I just need to twist out about 10k brass and nickel treble hooks first.

Somebody in NM wants less flashy blades, somebody else wants trebles attached with split rings, now you're sharing the advantage of colored single hooks.

Meanwhile, I'm going frickin nuts looking at boxes of trebles that need to find homes in fish lips! Maybe I'll start splitring attaching the trebles on some, so they can be swapped for singles or preferred hooks.
