Roses Lake with Anton Jones

Post by Mike Carey » Fri Apr 20, 2012 5:45 am

At 131 acres, Roses Lake is the perfect size for a family outing for it's annual stockings of rainbow trout. But wait, there's more! As this video will show, Roses has some great catfish in it as well. Thanks to Anton Jones of Darrell and Dad's Family Guideservice (http://www.darrellanddads.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) for taking us out! (and thanks Aaron, for letting us bloody up your boat!)

Nice video Mike! Was surprised that you didn't fish for largemouth bass while there.

Awesome video Mike! And awesome boat Aaron! I was wondering how the channel cat fought from the report, now I know!

It was a nice fight, bulldog-type fighter. No bass Bob, we were solely bait-soaking.

Fish for channel cats in Nebraska, they just swim by, pick up your bait and keep going. That is the perfect size, get bigger/older and they get muddy tasting. How was it Mike?
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
