Dry Falls Suicide

Tragic news from Dry Falls Lake. Apparently, someone decided to put his life to an end at the visitor center at
Dry Falls Lake. Reports state that he jumped over a chain link fence to his death some 200 feet below. The cliffs at Dry Falls formed a waterfall larger than Niagra Falls, when the ancient and massive Lake Missoula ruptured through an earthen dam and flooded all the way from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Dry Falls Lake is located just south of Coulee City and the south end of Banks Lake. Witnesses say a middle aged man jumped from the overlook at about 6 PM Saturday, Aug 27. His body wasn't recovered until about 9 PM. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

That is tough news. Beautiful area/country over there, especially geologically speaking. A very long fall from there too.
