Hi everyone,
My buddy and I are renting a 14' aluminum boat at Alki Beach. Unfortunately, it only has a 6hp engine, which means we probably can't venture out too far. Do you guys know of any ling spots near that area that a 6hp engine could take us to? How fast can a 6hp engine go in MPH on a 14' alum?
Thanks in advance!

Can't help you on a location, but that boat isn't going very far very fast, especially in the sound. Be careful of winds, its a windy area outside of Alki, a 14 footer with a 6 horse isn't a reliable or very safe boat

I think you're pretty much stuck in front of Salty's and around the mouth of the Duamish

Just south of Alki Point there is a very deep channel. There are lings in there. Be careful what you eat from Elliot bay. When cleaning your fish check the vital organs for light spots. I personally only eat salmon from the bay.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
