RE:trophy trout!
me (on the left) and a friend showing off our massive keepers from a secret trout lake (pic from a couple years ago).
my largest went in at 7lbs and smallest at 4.5lbs and they were both caught on a brown trout sinking rapala in the smallest size available.

and my whole catch for the day. for refference the pocket knife is about 4 inches long.

RE:trophy trout!
lol - i only fish for bass and i hate trout. honestly it upsets me when i reel them in.
try a luckycraft lure - the are in the bass section, but for some reason they only catch trout for me. you can find them at any joes, but they cost a pretty penny.

Nice Laker Rolland, I am probably going to try to go for Lakers over on Chalan this winter.

RE:trophy trout!
thanks mallard83. I'm super jealous....I really want to get to Chelan, it is one of the most notable fisheries in WA, and I have yet to go. I could take Hwy 20 over (oh wait, not in the winter, damn). That means I'd have to go all the way south to Hwy 2, then across. Oh well, maybe if the fuel prices keep dropping. Good luck and have a blast!!mallard83 wrote:I am probably going to try to go for Lakers over on Chalan this winter.
Btw, Chelan is so LARGE that it doesn't get any ice, does it??? (maybe a little in the small bays??)

RE:trophy trout!
No, Chalan doesn't get any ice like the smaller surrounding lakes do.
