I've noticed that within the River Reports section: When I choose a letter, then choose a river, then press the Back button to go back to the letter I chose, it takes me back to the initial landing page.
This isn't true for the Lake Reports section.
I think its an issue of usability that I would address. Also, since there is so much deep-linking involved with this particular widget, maybe using AJAX technology would be advantageous given that you guys are on the .NET framework.
Or maybe these have already been addressed in the new version of WL
