It is a fairly decent sized lake located a mile northwest of Sullivan Lake. Sullivan creek empties into the south end of the lake. The lake is man-made originally constructed in the 1910's for a hydroelectric plant. The spillway is still at the north side of the lake that empties out as Sullivan Creek. The dam was made to help divert water down a wooden flume that was located at the western side of the lake and it ran the water down to a power plant next to Metaline Falls, WA. There is still part of the old wooden floom still visible and there is an historical trailed on the north end that leads to it along with some old cabins. There are two entrances to this lake. From Sullivan Lake, the first entrance is to the campground and boat launch area at the south end of the lake. The next entrance is to the historical trail area as well as another trail head. The historical area is day use only. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout. There may be some escapage through the spillway into Sullivan Creek and south up Sullivan Creek into the backwater area. Craig Baker
