Snohomish County’s Howard Lake is located about 7 ¾ miles NW from Marysville. It covers 27 surface acres, reaches depths of 51 feet and lies at an elevation of 238 feet. Take the Smokey Point exit (Exit # 206) west for 7.2 miles to Olive Ave. to get there. Fish species include rainbow and cutthroat trout and largemouth bass. Prime bass habitat in this clear water lake includes overhanging brush and trees, old logs and wood in the water, private docks and a few small pad fields.
Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The access area has a solid gravel launch area and a large parking lot, with pit toilet across the street and east of the launch area. No internal combustion engines are allowed on the lake.
