Lake Sammamish is always thought of (by those of us who live in King County) as just another big lake with too many jet skis, recreational boaters, and annoying little girls tubing and screaming as if they are falling off Snoqualmie Falls. Now, this is all true, HOWEVER, Lake Sammamish is definitely one of the best fresh water fisheries in this county. I have consistenly gone out and caught 4-6lb smallmouth, generous sized trout, and lots of other miscelaneous types. Here is another day on the lake. 4lb, 5lb smallies, and a random steelhead that was hanging around. All caught on #3 Mepps black furry spinner at Weber Point. Drop to the bottom, release some slack, set the spinner and reel in slow so that the spinner is presented at a consitent depth from the drop point, accross Weber Point, and back to the boat. The lure will not be at presentation depth the entire cast of course, but the longer the better. The big fish are somewhat deep on this point. Caught these three at 30-40 ft. GOOD LUCK!
