My father and I fished Trout lake on Saturday. It was both of our first time at the lake. The weather was a lot cooler Saturday morning than it had been in a while, which likely contributed to the slow bite. However, we did end up each catching bass. Unfortunately, it was only one a piece. Mine was about one pound, and my father's was about two pounds. We were both using Senkos fished weedless. My fish came from a pocket in the pads and his from the weedline in front of another set of pads. While the fishing was a little slow, this was my father's first bass from the float tube that we bought him for Christmas. So, all in all a great day despite the slow fishing.
