I took my 75 year old mom out Tuesday morning to catch King salmon 200 yards out and to the left of public boat launch near the entrance to the creek. We were on the water at 0630. Fishing in 40 feet of water. It poured down rain and so did the Kings into our boat. Mom had the first 15 LB one on in less than 2 minutes. I had the second 20 minutes later. As Eli netted my first fish. Mom was reeling in her final one for the day. An hour later we were back on shore with all our limits. The average fish weighed 12 pounds. My mom truly enjoyed the day. You would not believe it. Lets say if you fished for Sockeye salmon in Lake Washington, you would have a good idea of the gear used.
